It was great doing each section in a different colour as I could get a better understanding of exactly how a crochet sock is constructed. I've never knitted or crocheted socks before in my life. A couple of months ago I bought this "I can't believe I'm Crocheting Socks" pattern from Karen Whooley at KRW Knitwear and I'm hoping I can crochet all 9 patterns. Hopefully, they won't all be for me, have to share my work around.
On another note, I am off to the Craft and Design as a Career seminar on Friday in Melbourne at the Melbourne Museum. It's a chance to get out of the house, the daggy trackie pants and pretend I'm an active community member. I follow Pip's blog Meet Me At Mikes and she will be one of the presenters there. Just to mix with humans again will be nice. I'm a bit in awe of the whole experience as I've not interacted with the human race much these past months.
Any way, that's it from me today. I wonder what the rest of the day and week have in store for me?
The socks are cute. Poor doggie! looks so cute too! love, andrea
ReplyDeleteLove your color blocked socks! Making socks is on my to-do list. So envious of your chance to see Pip in person! I love her blog, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, your socks are too fun...love all the pops of color! So sorry for your little Goldie...maybe she could use a pair of those colorful socks too! Hope she feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteI actually didn't realize one could crochet socks! I thought they had to be knitted!
ReplyDeleteYour's are absolutely delightful! I would so wear these - what a fun colorful way to spoil yourself a little!
thank you for sharing your very first fabulous socks!
Thanks everyone for your nice comments about my socks.
ReplyDeleteJust visiting from Rhonda's blog and now I'll have to follow you so I can catch up on lots of interesting posts I've spied that I'll have to view when I have time.
ReplyDeleteGreat socks and I've never thought of crocheting a pair though my daughter does knit socks. Give Goldie a pat from me and I'm just glad it wasn't her nose she stuck into the other dog's property!
The seminar sounds interesting and I hope you enjoy the socialising :).
Cheers,
Robyn
